Nature of Motivation
The essential nature of motivation in management includes various points like:-
1. Internal force:
Motivation is a thing which cannot be measured in terms of quantity. It can only be analyzed through different actions, methods, skills, and performance of employees. Motivation is a type of internal action or feeling or force of a particular person.
This helps to provide the force of encouragement in terms of skills, rewards, and other beneficial compensations.

In an organization, internal factors play a very effective role in motivating the employees. Autocratic style of leadership, poor working conditions, labor-management conflict can affect the working style of an employee. These things can demotivate them and they can also create problems in their working goals.
Conversely, healthy, better, and cordial relationships, quiet and clean environment helps to encourage the workers to develop themselves and also helps to achieve the organizational output.

In simple words, positive motivation means rewarding a person for contributing to organizational goal or output. Negative motivation gives penalties, punishments to the employees for improving ourselves and to recorrect the wrong or distributive things.

There are various types of remuneration like salary or commission or others are given to the employees, but it is not sufficient, it is common to all employees. Man is not a kind of machine. He must be cheerful, satisfied, and happy.
It is normally found that an individual is able to do his best when there is upliftment, stimulation, encouragement in the form of recognition, money, transfers, promotions, etc. If the employees become satisfied, then it will provide a good job for its organization.
2. Increase in efficiency:
When employees are motivated to satisfy or encourage their needs, they work to satisfy the business and organizational needs also. This helps to increases the working efficiency of organizational activities and also helps to utilize all resources in a perfect manner.
3. The nature of work:
The nature of the job of the employees also warrants the need for stimulation. Every day, employees face various incidents, both happy and unhappy. The clients they meet are nice and courteous, happy or unhappy, indifferent and curt. Some bring in orders, some only argue and complaint.
Employees do not feel independent because of their boss pressure is also above them. These frequent ups and downs exhaust their working stamina and also drops their level of performance down. So, that is the reason, motivation needs to be given to bring up their level of performance.
Motivation helps to promote communication between superiors and subordinates. Both try to understand their needs and wants and also satisfy them to the maximum possible area.

In every organization, the low rate of absenteeism and maximum turnover improves cordial relations between the employers and employees. There are silence and discipline in the organization.
This promotes brand value, goodwill or strengthens of the company and also helps to recruit qualified employees.
